About Dowd Photography

New York City based photographer, Michaela Dowd, was born in Omaha, Nebraska and became passionate about photography as soon as she was able to point and shoot a camera. The journalistic style of her photography was cultivated while studying Broadcast Journalism at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and working for UNL sports' big screen productions, documenting Cornhusker football, swimming and diving. She has worked in network television production since moving to New York in 1999 for ABC Newsmagazines, 20/20 and Primetime, and has continued her photographic education at the School of Visual Arts.  She is a member of the Directors Guild of America.
